Mzuri Pro-Til: single pass technology
Zone A – Loosening
Serrated discs slice through straw and other crop residue on the soil surface while pushing them to either side of the cultivated strip. Auto reset tines with exchangeable working parts till the soil strip. The soil in this strip is friable, moist, with no plant residue on the surface. Fertiliser is placed lower in the section of the tilled strip of soil than the seeds will be sown. This helps in optimising its dose and ensuring the availability of nutrients to plants from the start of vegetation.
Zone B – Recompaction
The unique feature of the Mzuri Pro-Til design is that the entire weight of the implement is applied evenly onto all tilled strips. This allows recompaction of the loosened soil to remove large air pockets, increase the contact of the moist soil with seeds and later roots.
Zone C – Seed drilling
The drill coulters of each section operate fully independently of the tilling tines. By following perfectly field contours they maintain constant drill depth and are easy to adjust. Each coulter uses the hydraulic system to exert pressure on the seed depth control wheel. This ensures uniform drill depth and presses the seed into moist soil, creating conditions for rapid germination.
